WWF/WWE

Nothing to do with MMA

WWF/WWE

Now then, this could cause a debate between 30 something fans and 20 something fans.

I use to be obsessed with WWF. I had all the figures, the ring, the cage, the replica belts, etc, etc, etc. Now, i don’t know if it’s because I’m getting old or because the WWE just isn't as good anymore? When i am flicking through the TV and stumble across WWE i can’t help but stay and watch.... And i want to like it again, i really do..... But i can’t. To me, long gone are the days when Champions were Champions and Tag Teams were Tag Teams. Hulk Hogan use to be the Champion and would hold on to that belt, fighting in only main events and having you on the edge of your seat (Sgt Slaughter, Ultimate Warrior, Andre the Giant oh YES). Now though it seems like the title skips to and from, from one week to the next. It might be the wrong perception i have but it just doesn’t feel the same anymore. Like i say though.... Probably my age!

The men i grew up loving -
Hulk Hogan
Ultimate Warrior
Macho Man
Honky Tonk Man
Tatanka
Brett Hit Man Hart
Supa Fly Jimmy Snuka.... And there are loads more that i haven't mentioned.

Another thing. Why don’t they have PROPER Tag Teams anymore? And i don’t mean Higgledy Piggledy teams like Big Show & Kane, or John Cena & The Miz.
I mean PROPER Tag Teams like
The Rockers
The Bushwackers
The Hart Foundation
LOD (WWWWWWWHAT A RRRRRUSH)
Natural Disasters (Fat Bastards)
Nasty Boys (Smelly Twats)

I MISS THE GOOD OLD DAYS!

Haha. Stone Cold Vs The Rock!! Awesome.

Iv got all Wrestlemanias up to 10. Wrestlemania 8 was quality. Hogan Vs Sid Justice main event. It had loads on... Undertaker (When he was actually an Undertaker, not a biker), Jake the Snake, Bushwackers, Natural disasters, Money Inc.

Awesome. Happy Times!

I loved The Ultimate Warrior when I was little and then started watching it again during the Austin vs. Vince era.

Now it's bollocks again! But I can't help watching odd bits of the hour long shows over the weekends lol!!

If WWE was still anywhere near as good as it used to be in the late 90's - early noughties, then i doubt i would be quite as addicted to MMA as i am now.

Degeneration X...
Rock vs. Stone Cold vs. Triple H. vs. Undertaker combos...
The edgy storylines were genuinely gripping...
Some of the real talent they had was amazing...

Kurt Angle
Brock Lesnar
Chris Benoit
Eddie Guerrero
Chris Jericho
Dudleys / Hardy's / Edge & Christian
Not to mention the greatest wrestler of all time...Shawn Michaels.

Ever since some of those names left, and they went PG, i just cannot watch anymore.
