Thanks for taking the time to talk to us ahead of your OMMAC British Title Fight on June 1st

Q: This will be your 11th Fight under the OMMAC banner that along with Cage Gladiators,
being from Liverpool, Does the Olympia feel Like home to you?

"Yes, it does, It's right on my doorstep, so there's no extra stresses involved"

Q: Given you are fighting in your home city and on a promotion you are very familiar with, does that make the prospect of being their Middleweight British Champion more appealing to you?

"Yes it does, I really feel like I've earned this title shot"

Q: You have won 4 Fights on the spin now, most recently against Val Petrescu at OMMAC 16, do you feel Denniston is a step up in competition again for this fight?

"I feel Denniston is a step up in Competition again, yeah, I feel he is a more complete fighter"

Q: Your last opponent Val Petrescu has now signed a multi fight deal with Cage Warriors, obviously demonstrating the calibre of guys who you are competing with, and indeed beating.

Do you feel winning this title at OMMAC may open any doors in your career?

"Yeah, I really do believe that and I have already had interest from other large promotions since beating Valentino Petrescu back in March.

Q: You are now fighting out of Atherton Submission Wrestling, with the likes of Rob Broughton, Mike Wilkinson, guys with UFC experience.
How has your camp gone and have you worked any particular aspect of your game in preparation for Sutherland?

"I've been at ASW 18 months now, for this fight I have been working my wrestling and judo defence as well as my striking"

Q: We saw in your last fight, your ability to control the fight against the cage, something we've seen from Denniston also in his last fight and in previous bouts.
Do you think this fight might come down to who has the better gas tank if it goes the distance or will you look to finish?

"Whatever it takes to win I will do, but I'm looking to show people I'm still a finisher as well as being able to go all the way"

Q: With the Majority of your wins coming via submission, do you see an advantage on the ground with your opponent or are you happy to stand and trade with him?

"I feel, I will be the better wrestler and better with my hands, So I'm gonna look to mix it up in there"

Q: What would it mean to Win the OMMAC British Title in front of a home crowd?

"Hopefully for me, It'll mean the next step to the big shows!"
