One On One With Kenny Booker
Continuing AddictedMMA's onslaught of fighter exclusives today, Chicago Cagefighting's Kenny "The Gorilla" Booker took some time to speak with us.
Booker, 1-0, is a Welterweight fighter who made his pro debut back in February and picked up the unanimous decision victory. He looks to continue his winning ways June 9th when he fights Jay Ellis at Rockford Cagefighting Championship's inaugural event.
AG - First off thank you for taking time to answer these questions. What got you into MMA?
KB - My pleasure. I was always a big fan of it so figured I'd give it a shot.. The rest is history
AG - How long have you been competing?
KB - Going on 3 years.
AG - You won your Pro debut back in February, how did it feel to get your first pro win under your belt?
KB - Awww man!! The best feeling in the world was getting my hand raised as a pro. Long time coming for me
AG - What are your thoughts on your upcoming opponent Jay Ellis?
KB - Guys a vet, he's fought everybody. I give him 45 seconds before he gets tired and I pick him apart. Hes been like that his whole career. Tough fight but it's not gonna last long ;)
AG - How do you see your next fight ending?
KB - Knockout!
AG - What is your biggest strength inside the cage?
KB - My Boxing and Muay Thai
AG - Who is your favorite fighter to watch and why?
KB - Anderson Silva, the ultimate mixed martial artist... He has it all boxing, muay thai, Jits, he's the best ever!
AG - Any Shout outs you would like to give?
