Mark Tucker Looking to put on a Show at UIC 8
With an open door policy for AddictedMMA it`s always a pleasure for us to catch up with him and find out what's been going on. And with a fight lined up at the end of the week against the very tough Marc Allen at the Ultimate Impact in Cheltenham, there couldn't be a better time than now.
AddictedMMA: Hey Mark how are you? How have your preparations for Marc been going?
Mark: Hi Guys I'm good, training is the same as normal.
AddictedMMA: Marc sent out a stark warning for you earlier this week to look out for the head kicks! Do you think Marc is playing mind games with that quote or do you think he will be really looking to stand with you?
Mark: I don't know much about Marc but I know he has skills and like any fight it's a game of chess and anyone can win. Anyone can be knocked out with the right shot at the right time.
AddictedMMA: Marc is on quite a streak at the moment and you will clearly be a very tough opponent for him. Have you been able to do any research on him and work out your own gameplan? Or would you rather feel the fight out and use your experience and instincts once the bell rings?
Mark: I never really do that much research, I just play my own game and on the day I hope it's the right one.
AddictedMMA: Do you have a message that you would like to return to Marc?
Mark: Lets have a good fight and show the rest how to do it and I look forward to a beer with him after the show.
AddictedMMA: Of course Ultimate Impact 8 is looking like a superb fight card, other than the headline fight and your own matchup are there any particular bouts that you are looking forward to?
Mark: Not really, all the fights should be good and I'm sure all the guys fighting have trained hard for their fights and will put on a good show.
AddictedMMA: The main event is a fight I'm itching to see. The trilogy fight between Ben Constantine and Lee Caers, I've a feeling I know what's coming but how do you see that fight going?
Mark: It depends they are both good fighters and whoever can impose their game will win, but of course I want Lee to win.
AddictedMMA: Your experience and dedication to the sport has really started to flourish within your coaching of recent. With young talent like Sam Gilbert coming through and really starting to make a name for himself how do you find the time to juggle all of your responsibility's?
Mark: I'm very lucky that all my lads know what is needed of them to do well in this sport so all I have to do is teach to the best of my ability. Now I teach and train full time life is good.
AddictedMMA: Is there anyone you'd like to thank or send a shout out to?
Mark: All the lads in the gym especially Sam, Lee, Sean, Brad and Steve who have been my training partners, also to Allen for pushing me with my stand up.
My girlfriend Ren for being there for me and my daughter Jessica x
And of course AddictedMMA for helping to push the sport world wide
AddictedMMA: And now it's time....for our signature question! Aside from MMA what is Mark Tucker Addicted to?
Mark: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
AddictedMMA: Thanks for your time Mark and all the best for Saturday.
Mark: Thanks again guys for your time.
