Josh Koscheck: UFC Offered Me BJ Penn Fight....I Said Yes!!

Strange news piece of the day. According to UFC welterweight veteran, Josh Koscheck, his next bout could well be against currently retired former Lightweight and Welterweight champion, BJ Penn. Koscheck turned to Twitter to break the shocking news:

#UFC just offered me to fight BJ Penn...I said YES!!!!! Just waiting on him!!!!!! Let's scrap bra?

33 year old BJ "The Prodigy" Penn (16-8-2) is considered by many to be the greatest lightweight in the history of the sport. The Hawaiian is one of only two men to have won UFC titles in two seperate divisions, taking gold at both 155 and 170 pounds. Penn has scored notable wins over Diego Sanchez, Takanori Gomi, Kenny Florian, Sean Sherk, and Matt Hughes.

Penn retired from the sport after a devastating decision loss to Nick Diaz at UFC 137. Many fans and media seemed to believe it would not last and it was simply Penn taking a break after more than ten years in the sport. With UFC matchmaker Joe Silva already offering the fight to Koscheck, you have to assume the powers that be in the UFC know something about a Penn return that we do not yet.

Could the legendary BJ Penn finally be making his return to the Octagon, or is this just a tactic by Joe Silva and Dana WHite to tempt "The Prodigy" back into action.

Stay Addicted for BJ Penn's eventual response.
