Brian "Bad Boy" Ebersole Plans Drop To Lightweight Division
When you're on an eleven fight win streak, including a 4-0 streak in the biggest promotion in the world, you'd think that keeping that momentum going and aiming for a title shot would be the logical thing to do....unless your name is Brian Ebersole. The 31 year old, who once dubbed himself "The White Anderson Silva", revealed after his UFC on FX 4 win over TJ Waldburger that he now plans on dropping down to the 155lb lightweight division, and has already name checked Nate Diaz as a potential opponent, although that fight has not yet been made. He also made the same remarks on The MMA Hour.
Brian "Bad Boy" Ebersole (50-14-1-1) entered the UFC on short notice, stepping in for Carlos Condit to face Chris Lytle at UFC 127. Ebersole upset the odds by taking a decisive three round decision win over the UFC veteran, kicking off his current great run with the promotion.
Since his UFC debut, Ebersole has rattled off three more wins, scoring a TKO over Dennis Hallman (UFC 133), and decision wins over Claude Patrick (UFC 140) and TJ Waldburger (UFC on FX 4).
During his storied career, Ebersole has fought for various promotions, and notched notable wins over Eddie Sanchez, Nick Thompson, Matt Horwich and Carlos Newton.
