Phil "Billy" Harris Signs for the UFC
Europe's number one Flyweight Phil "Billy" Harris (21-9-1) is the latest UK star to join the ranks of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.Graham Boylan who operates Phil's management team, Intensiti Fighter Management broke the news just a few minutes ago via his personal Facebook page:
"It's been a while coming but it's now here. I would like to officially annnounce that Intensiti Fighter Management has signed Phil Harris to the UFC. Congrats Phil very happy for you and your coach Brian Adams. Debut TBC ."
Harris who trains at GYM01 in Portsmouth, England has been on a tear of late, going undefeated in his last five fights which include defeating Remi Morvan and former TUF contestant Casey Dyer in the past six months.
Harris had this to say about the signing:
"Signing to the UFC is a dream come true, I've fought on nearly every show in the UK and against some top opponents, it's been a long road, I've been fighting for 10 years now, I just can't wait to get there now.
I want to say thanks to my wife, having the support at home is where it all starts from. Also my trainer Jedi Brian Adams, Graham Boylan and Ian Dean and everyone from Intensiti Fighter Management."
No news as of yet on when Harris will debut for the promotion but stay tuned to AddictedMMA for the news as we hear it.
